Jung Yun-ji (23) will defend her title for the first time on the Korean Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) tour.
Jung Yun-ji will participate as the defending champion in the KLPGA Tour E1 Charity Open (total prize money of 900 million won) held at Seongmunan Country Club (par 72) in Wonju-si, Gangwon-do for three days from the 26th.
Last year, he won the E1 Charity Open held in South Springs, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, after a 5th round of overtime. Recording his first victory in the tournament, he set a strong aspiration to win two consecutive losses and his second career victory at the same time.
Jung Yun-ji said, “It’s my first tournament as a defending champion, so I feel pressured and excited. Last year, when I won the 5th overtime, many people recognized and supported me, which has been a big help to me. That’s why my first win last year was a big deal for me. It has meaning,” he recalled.
He continued, “To be honest, I’m not good at putts these days. In this tournament, I plan to play with the most attention on putting distance. I know that defending the title is really difficult. But, if you think of the ‘E1 Charity Open’, I will play a good game so that you can think of Yunji Jung. I will open it,” he promised.안전놀이터
