It seems that the breakup between manager Antonio Conte and Tottenham is becoming a fait accompli.
Prominent Italian journalist Gianluca 안전놀이터 Di Marzio recently insisted that Conte was ‘certainly’ not going to stay at Tottenham Hotspur next season.
Conte’s current Tottenham contract expires at the end of this season. Tottenham had an option to extend the contract for 12 months, but it was thought that it would not be exercised.
Conte has questioned his future after the deaths of three close friends in recent months, along with the fact that his wife and daughter still live in Italy.
Di Marzio insisted that Tottenham had not consulted Conte about renewing his contract and that there was no ‘spark’ between the two parties.
According to Italian media, Di Marzio said: “All I can say is that Conte will be leaving Tottenham at the end of the season. There was no spark between the two sides. His contract has expired and the club has not asked him to renew it.” said.
“Conte wants players who can win, but the club prefers to trade,” he said, emphasizing the difference between Daniel Levy and Conte’s ‘philosophies’.
Meanwhile, Italian media Calciomercato
reported that Conte could go to Juventus with Tottenham’s mid-filter Pierre-Emile Hoivier. He said it was to replace Adrien Rabiot.
Rabiot’s contract with Juventus expires at the end of this season.
After playing in the World Cup, Rabiot prefers to leave Juventus as a free agent.
