Hvica PK miss + Osimen make up goal… Napoli, 1-1 draw against AC Milan → Failure to advance to the quarterfinals 

 Napoli failed to beat AC Milan and bowed their heads in the quarterfinals.

Napoli drew 1-1 in the second leg of the quarterfinals against AC Milan in the 2022/23 European Football Federation (UEFA) Champions League at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples, Italy on the 19th (Korean time).

Napoli failed to advance to the semifinals for the first time in the club’s history, being beaten by Milan 1-2 on aggregate in the first and second games.

On the other hand, Milan won the series with two wins and one draw in three matches against Napoli held this month, including Serie A, with the success of advancing to the semifinals.

The home team, Napoli, went 4-3-3 that day. Mario Hui, Joao Jejus, Amir Rahmani and Giovanni Di Lorenzo made up the back four, with Alex Meret wearing goalkeeper gloves. 

The midfield was played by Tanguy Ndombele, Stanislav Robotka and Piotr Zielinski. Up front, Hvica Kvarachelia, Victor Osimen and Matteo Politano came out and looked for goals.

In the 43rd minute of the first half, when Ndombele missed the ball in the Napoli defensive camp, Leão drove it right in and quickly advanced to the Napoli penalty box. Afterwards, Giroud received Leão’s pass and calmly pushed it with his left foot to score the first goal. 

Napoli scored in the extra time in the second half when Osimen got the ball inside the penalty box, but it was not recognized as a handball foul. 

The first half ended with Milan leading 1-0.

AC Milan face Inter Milan-Benfica winners in the semifinals. Since Inter Milan won 2-0 in the away game in the first leg, the semifinals are likely, and the Milan derby is highly likely to happen.
