“As I always say, I’ve never been to spring volleyball.”
KGC Ginseng Corporation middle blocker Park Eun-jin (24), after graduating from Sunseon Girls’ High School in 2018, was nominated by KGC Ginseng Corporation in the second place in the first round in the rookie draft. Park Eun-jin, who has been given opportunities to play consistently since his debut season, recorded 0.457 blocks per set of 855 points in 145 professional games.
Last season, he played all 36 league games and recorded 184 points, a 44.89% fast break rate, and 0.485 blocks per set, playing an active role as the KGC Ginseng Corporation’s main middle blocker. He ranked 4th in fast break and 12th in blocking. He has grown into one of the young middle blockers representing the league, along with Jung Ho-young (KGC Ginseng Corporation), Lee Da-hyun (Hyundai E&C), and Joo-ah Lee (Heungkuk Life Insurance).
However, apart from this, Park Eun-jin has a dream that has not yet been achieved. It is the spring volleyball stage. He’s never been to the postseason. KGC Ginseng Corporation has not been there since the 2016-17 season.
Park Eun-jin, who met at the KGC Ginseng Corporation field training site recently held in Namhae, Gyeongnam, said, “Last season, I couldn’t go up by one point메이저놀이터. He always says it in every interview, but he has never been to spring volleyball since his debut. So I really want to go. The coach said he really wanted to win this time. To do that, he needs to perform well from the beginning of the season. He wants to do well,” he stressed.
Park Eun-jin, who has accumulated experience in many international competitions, such as the 2020 Tokyo Olympics semifinals and the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) stage, but the spring volleyball stage is her dream stage. Park Eun-jin said, “I feel really nervous because I don’t know what kind of place it is.”
In the off-season last year, he could not participate in international competitions due to an injury. He had to go through rehabilitation. However, this time, as a member of Cesar after the season, he competed with world players in the 2023 VNL.
Park Eun-jin said, “In a way, this was the first time I learned from coach Cesar, not from coach Cesar. He returned this year after having valuable and good experiences with world-class players.”
He continued, “There is so much to learn. Foreign players are tall and have good power. Also, Asian players excluding us are playing fast volleyball despite their short stature. We also have to learn and change.”
At the end of this season, he is eligible for the first free agent (FA) in his debut, but of course the team’s performance is more important than free agency.
Park Eun-jin said, “There is nothing that really touches me. While I was in the national team, the story I had with my classmates, such as (Lee) Joo-ana and (Jeong) Ji-yoon (Hyundai E&C), was, “Wow, time really flies.” Last season was a disappointing, disappointing year. I will do my best to show all the plays I have prepared so that there will be no regrets this year.”
