Oh Ji-hwan plays drums and janggu and LG sees the lead again!… Lotte 3rd place recaptured

LG Twins and Lotte Giants, who had been slowing down with 3 and 4 consecutive losses last week, won their first game this week and rewritten the rankings from 1st to 3rd.스포츠토토

Thanks to the great performance of captain Oh Ji-hwan, LG won two consecutive victories by defeating the Samsung Lions.

LG defeated Samsung 2-1 in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League home game held at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 13th and maintained a 1.5 game gap with the leading SSG Landers.

LG, which took the lead by one game ahead of SSG until the 1st, regained its strength and strengthened its will to recapture the top spot.

In the bottom of the 7th inning LG was dragged 0-1 after being hit right handedly by Kim Yeong-woong of Samsung in the 5th inning, Oh Ji-hwan opened the door to a tie with a superior double.

LG returned the game 1-1 with Moon Bo-kyung’s sacrifice bunt and Lee Jae-won’s sacrifice fly.

Immediately at the bottom of the 8th inning, LG seized the opportunity to turn around to second base with a walk by Kim Min-sung and a sacrifice bunt by Kim Hyun-soo in front of the third baseman. It is the second time in 15 years and 9 months since the match against Samsung Lions on September 22, 2007, that Kim Hyun-soo made a sacrifice bunt.

In the second out, first and second base, Oh Ji-hwan overturned the game by hitting a timely hit in the middle left.

LG starter Adam Plutko gave up 1 run in 6 innings (no run), and Samsung left-hander Choi Chae-heung, who started immediately after being discharged from Sangmu the previous day, led a tight pitching battle with 5⅓ innings scoreless reverse pitching.

■ Yun Dong-hee, a reverse three-run in front of owner Shin Dong-bin… Lotte regained 3rd place

Lotte took 3rd place by winning 7-5 against the Hanwha Eagles in front of owner Shin Dong-bin.

Lotte, which was pushed out of the top 3 in 47 days two days ago, pulled down the NC Dinos, who lost that day, to 4th place, and moved up to 3rd place to keep pace with the two leading teams, SSG Landers and LG Twins, who won.

In the bottom of the third inning, when Lotte was trailing 2-3, Yoon Dong-hee hit Hanwha starter Moon Dong-ju on first and second base and hit a three-run homer in a come-from-behind final.

Lotte widened the gap to 6-3 thanks to Park Seung-wook’s superiority with 1 RBI and 3 bases in the continued 2 out 1 base.

Hanwha caught up with 2 points with Chae Eun-seong and Choi Jae-hoon’s consecutive heavy hits in the 2nd 1st and 3rd bases, which were tied with hits and walks in the beginning of the 6th inning.

At the end of the 8th inning, when Lotte was walking on thin ice by one point, An Chi-hong’s right-handed hit from 2nd and 2nd base calmed Hanwha’s pursuit.

Hanwha couldn’t save the last chance with two outs and bases loaded at the bottom of the ninth.

Lotte starter Charlie Barnes gave up 3 runs in 3⅓ innings, and Moon Dong-ju gave up 6 runs in 2⅔ innings, below expectations.

Jin Seung-hyun, the son of KIA Tigers head coach Jin Gap-yong, who pitched in relief in the 4th inning and scored 2 runs in 1⅔ innings, won his first professional victory.

■ SSG ‘Cuba Duo’ Elias 7 scoreless innings, Heredia 5 hits

In Incheon, SSG, with the ‘Cuba Duo’ at the forefront, defeated kt wiz 8-1 and escaped from a 3-game losing streak.

Loenis Elias, from Cuba, won 3 wins (1 loss) with a scoreless pitch (7 innings) for the first time in his 4th game since his debut in the KBO League.

Guillermo Heredia, who came from the same country as Elias, played as the fourth batter and led 1-0 with a hit to the left in the third inning with two outs and third base, and went on base with a hit in the sixth inning. In sprinting, he made a groove.

For the first time on the Korean stage, Heredia hit 5 hits (5 at-bats) in a game and flew.

At the end of the 8th inning, with a 3-1 lead, SSG scored 5 runs with a pinch-hit double by Kang Jin-seong, Choi Ji-hoon’s triple by Woo-jung-wol, and Choi Sang-min’s sacrifice fly to left field.

kt suffered 3 consecutive losses after 6 consecutive wins.

■ Doosan Jang Won-joon, 6 innings scoreless, 3 wins this season, 132 wins in total

Doosan Bears defeated NC 11-4 in an expedition to Changwon. NC’s winning streak stopped at ‘5’.

Doosan starter Jang Won-joon laid the foundation for a great victory with perfect pitching in six scoreless innings and earned his 3rd win of the season and his 132nd win in his career.

He allowed only three hits and one walk, and completely erased the crisis by inducing double hits three times.

Doosan seized the victory with Kim Jae-hwan’s three-point home run from 2 out 1 and 2 base in the top of the 3rd inning. Kim Jae-hwan pushed and drew a large parabola into the left pole to record his 5th home run of the season.

Doosan scored two points by taking advantage of NC second baseman Park Min-woo’s error at the top of the 4th inning with one out and a full base, and in the 5th inning with a 5-0 lead, Yang Seok-hwan and Kim Jae-hwan’s consecutive doubles and Heo Gyeong-min’s hit to the left center tied up three consecutive hits to score two points. The difference between winning and losing was added.

Kang Seung-ho hit a wedge with a two-run arch to the left center stand in the 7th inning and a left-handed two-run gun in the 9th inning.

NC starter Lee Yong-jun gave 5 points (4 earned runs) by overdoing 4 walks in 4 innings and collapsed.

The Doosan infield team helped Jang Won-joon win with neat double play defense in the 1st inning, 1st base, 1st base, 1st base in the 2nd inning, and 1st base, 1st base in the 4th inning.

■ ‘Grounder Factory Manager’ Kiwoom Hurado also has a perfect pitch… 1-0 victory over KIA

Kiwoom Heroes beat the KIA Tigers 1-0 at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul and won three consecutive victories. 8th place Kiwoom approached 6th place KIA by 2 games and 7th place Samsung by 0.5 games, ahead of the mid-level jump.

Kiwoom starting pitcher Ariel Hurado easily cooked the KIA batting line with 3 hits and 0 points, with 4 strikeouts in 6 innings, and won 4 wins (7 losses) after breaking away from the recent 4 consecutive losses. The average ERA was also lowered from 3.10 to 2.86.

In particular, Hurado used a sinker-type two-seam fastball to fill 11 out counts with ground balls.

Kiwoom scored the only point in the first inning thanks to a catch error by KIA shortstop Park Chan-ho.

In the first inning with one out and first base, Park shifted to the second baseman and seemed to clear Lee Jung-hoo’s hit ball, but Lee Jung-hoo’s hit was so strong that he couldn’t catch it with his glove and threw it back.

With one out on first and second base, Addison Russell sent second base runner Kim Hye-seong home with a clean heavy hit.

KIA seized a chance to turn the bases with 2 outs with 3 walks in the top of the 7th inning after Hurado was demolished, but as Ryu Ji-hyeok was caught with a grounder from second baseman, he could not get another chance.

KIA left-hander Yang Hyeon-jong, who was hit in the last two games and his ERA soared to the mid-4 point range, became a losing pitcher with 1 run in 5 innings (no ERA), but found comfort in regaining his ability to manage crises.
